NEW YMCA Shop Opens

On January 24th, the YMCA opened its new shop in the centre of North Shields at 53 Bedford Street to great fanfare!

Steve Black, former strength and conditioning coach for the Newcastle Falcons and the Welsh National Rugby Team did the honours by cutting the ribbon and he invited the local community to show their support of the YMCA.  The shop, which offers quality furniture, bric-a-brac, books, toys, and clothes at affordable prices will allow residents of North Shields to get the best bargains, while helping to fund a range of services for disadvantaged young people.

The shop manager, Alison, said: "We're really excited about our new shop in North Shields. It will be a great place to go for affordable shopping."

You can help support your local YMCA Shop by volunteering or donating clothing and household items: whether you are an individual, or a business, looking to give end of line stock. We are happy to collect valuable and bulky items.  Delivery of items purchased in the shop is also available.

YMCA Shops are part of a network of 140 YMCAs working to ensure that young people have opportunities to thrive and contribute positively to their communities.
